Kathleen McDonald holds a BScN, MN, NP in Adult Medicine and is the founder of Kate Nicole: Precision Medicine. She completed her training at both University California San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Toronto. Her work experience includes top academic centres such as University Health Network with the Peter Munk Cardiac Surgery Team, University of Michigan Medical Centre, University of California San Francisco, and Sunnybrook Trauma Centre. Once she realized there was a large gap in true health care she made it her mission to challenge the current dogma within the health and human performance realms with new measures to effectively promote a healthy lifestyle and optimize physical performance.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
Prior to opening her own practise, Kathleen had been working 50 - 60 hour work weeks and started to experience chronic fatigue, decline in energy, low vitality, and restless sleep patterns. Discouraged, after seeing her Family Doctor for an all to brief assessment, and whom discredited her concerns as she had 'normal' blood tests results (she later learned that her labs were straddling the low end of normal), which were performed under the traditional umbrella of chronic fatigue, (CBC, iron, and thyroid studies), she then visited a Functional Medicine clinic and couldn't believe how much better she started to feel and how much more energy she had. Realizing this, it sparked her future research and passion into understanding how to optimize the body so as to maintain this level of energy & vitality.
Kathleen's motivation to help others is very tangible during one's treatment course at her Clinic, and you'll also frequently see updates on her different missionary adventures while visiting the clinic. Her passion for attaining this heightened level of health, not only for herself & her active lifestyle, which includes cycling, and 70.3 Ironman, also extends to her clients. This has driven her to research niche regenerative & health optimization therapies, right down to a cellular level, in order to provide powerful results.
“When I hear people say; “I am just getting older, I respond that our bodies are brilliantly designed and if optimized, based on scientific principles, we can then look, feel and function on a level we hold as an ideal in our minds. It is attainable and possible! “

He is also a great cook who can teach you how to make healthy eating delicious and time efficient.
